HARDWOOD FLOORING

There are several methods to be employed when it comes to tackling hardwood flooring. We first determine the particular wood material we are working with. Once identified, we search for any possible pre-existing damages that may have occurred overtime. Once determined, a decision of the type of cleaning agent and machine needed for floor care and maintenance is made. We then begin the step of furniture relocation in order to vacuum the entire surface area of any debris and dust.

Deep cleaning process begins: We then use a floor scrubbing machine to agitate and extract dried soil and debris of the hardwood floor. Depending on how well our clients' floors have been maintained prior to our arrival, will determine how long the scrubbing process will take.

Administering a top coat finish: A top coat finish is then applied onto your hardwood floor. The application of the coating will produce a streak-free shine or matte appearance. This is an important step, for it leaves our client' wood floors spotless and residue free without need of sanding the hardwood floor.

Drying: After applying the necessary layers of coating, the process of drying the floors begins. Depending on how many square footage the newly coated floor is, we lay out fan(s) along with using microfiber clothes to dry the area

Hardwood floors are typically sealed with a water-resistant formula.  The safest and easiest hardwood floor cleaners are water-based cleaners. The only concern with this is to be sure that the floor is well finished. A well finished floor means either 3 coats of oil modified polyurethane, or 4 coats of a water-based finish. Water based cleaners are not recommended on poorly finished floors.
